Coordinator, Environmental Health/Safety

Salary: $42,405-$54,365 Annually

Description: The Environmental Safety/Health Coordinator provides district-wide college leadership in planning, development, assessment and implementation of environmental programs including fire safety and OSHA compliance, to ensure environmental health and safety of students, visitors, and employees at all college sites. Flexible hours/days. Travel regularly between college sites and occasional out-of-town and overnight travel. Appointments and events may require time off campus. Ability to distinguish colors. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to climb stairs on a regular basis. Ability to run if necessary. Ability to maneuver in small spaces. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to access, input, and retrieves information from a computer. Works in an office environment. May need to travel to a worksite on occasion. THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACHELORS DEGREE. COPIES OF TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH APPLICATION. All application materials are subject to the Florida Sunshine Law. EA/EO. Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree with some emphasis in fire protection and occupational safety and health (REQUIRED).
2. Must hold current HAZWOPER/OSHA Certification (REQUIRED).

Desired Qualifications:
1. Three (3) years of experience in any combination of the following fields: environmental protection.
2. SREF certification or be able to obtain within twelve (12) months of date of employment.
3. Maintain a Florida class C driver license.
4. Comfortable working in a computerized environment.
